Javascript open download file

Use window.open("file.pdf", "_blank") . This will open up a new tab temporarily to download the file then close it leaving the original page and URL in tact.

• I've been working on a big project for some time now, but it suddenly won't open anymore. In the webbrowser it continues to load, and when trying to download I get an XML-page with an error saying "access denied".
